We would like to invite you to the first ever Lithuanian Jugger Open! The tournament will take place on the 1st of July in Mickunai near Vilnius. Registration opens in mid-April, but for now we have some initial info to share!

--- Location ---
The tournament will take place at Mickunai High School stadium, located at Miško g. 2B, Mickunai. The stadium is just behind the school building. The utilities at the school (showers, toilets, changing rooms) will be available.

--- Registration ---
Registration will open April 17th. We want to have as many countries represented, so up to and including May 1st the first team from each country that registered will have a spot reserved. After May 1st it‘s first come first served.

--- Schedule ---
The tournament will be a single day, two-field tournament on Saturday, July 1st. We are planning on doing some fun activities on Friday and/or Sunday depending on whether or not people will be staying around/arriving early. Polling will be done to determine the exact activities and dates once we know which teams are signed on. The preliminary schedule for Saturday is:
8:00-10:00 Pompfencheck
10:00-10:15 Opening
10:15-18:00 Matches
18:00-18:30 Award ceremony
Afterwards – showers and party in Vilnius!

--- Accomodation ---
Unfortunately, camping will not be possible at the tournament grounds. We suggest looking for accomodation in Vilnius, where you will find plenty of ho(s)tels and campgrounds.

--- Getting there ---
The tournament will take place in Mickunai, which is just outside Vilnius. You can get there by public transit using bus No. 67, which drops you off close to the stadium or take the train Vilnius-Turmantas and get off at Mickunai, however, it is a longer walk (~3 km). We suggest using the app Trafi for all public transit in Vilnius.

--- Rules & Pompfencheck ---
Exact rules will be clarified closer to the date, but we use German rules in Lithuania, so expect that with maybe a couple of minor house rules. Pompfencheck will be on Saturday morning, however, if you arrive early and want your pompfen to be checked in advance on Friday, you can contact us to make arrangements.

--- Tournament fee ---
The tournament fee will be paid per person, however, you can pay as a team if you wish. Exact amount will be announced in an upcomming newsletter (should fall in the 10-15 euros per person range). Maximum number of people per team will be 8

--- Food and drink ---
We will be providing a bottle of water per person as well as some snacks which will be available for everyone. We will try to cater to a wide audience, but please be aware that you are responsible for your own allergies and/or dietary restrictions. If you wish to buy food/drinks on the day of the tournament, there is a small convenience store near the bus stop which is open 8-22 everyday.
NOTE: it is forbidden to drink alcohol in public in Lithuania as well for people under the age of 20 to purchase alcoholic drinks of any kind.

If you have any questions and wish to contact the organizers you can reach us at Facebook (Jugger Lithuania) or ping @Lithuania in the Jugger Discord channel.
