Dear juggers, we've finally published Spain's WCC 2023 on Jugger Turniere! This is a summary of the current info (as of 3rd July 2023), which will always be updated at https://fejugger.es/wcc-2023 as well as the official Instagram page - sorry for any inconvenience this may cause you. The tournament will take place in Eibar, Basque Country - specifically at the Unbe Sports Complex. The WCC will take place on the days 20th, 21st, 22nd and 23rd July 2023 and the activities will be divided in several phases: - Thursday 20th - Welcome: arrivals and check-ins, first pompfen check, friendly matches - Friday 21st - Second pompfen check, if necessary. General classification phase - Saturday 22nd - Reorganization phase - Sunday 23rd - Final phase Our plan is to finish all official matches by 18:00, local time, every day. This tournament will follow the Spanish Jugger Rulebook v5.1.1, with the following modifications. Moreover, during the tournament and any associated events, we will follow this special Code of Conduct to ensure all who attend can enjoy it comfortably. Please read them through and contact us about any questions you may have! At the end of the registration process we’ve reached a total of 68 confirmed teams - 44 Spanish and 24 foreign visitors - although we’re seeing some last minute changes so we’ll update the list as soon as they’re firm. We have finally secured accommodation in some sports halls, although their capacity is limited. We’ll prioritise international teams, then those Spanish teams that requested spots in the last form, and lastly the remaining registered teams. For the foreign visitors, we’ve obtained a sports hall where you can sleep for free in Eibar. Even though it’s within the town limits, it’s a bit far and will lack hot water, although the playing fields will have many showers. This facility will be available to sleep at during the nights of 19th, 20th, 21st and 22nd July - we might also secure this or another location for sleeping on the 23rd as well. In any case, this hall will only be used to sleep and will remain closed from the time we leave to play until we return from the fields. Finally, we want to inform you that our plans for Thursday 20th July is to open the facilities from 12AM to 8PM, in order to set up fields, pompfen checks, friendly games and generally socialisation activities. Nonetheless, if most teams have planned to arrive late, we will adjust the opening time accordingly (not the closing one). We're also considering the possibility of holding a welcome dinner at a cider restaurant that evening - please fill out this form if your team is interested.
